The Southeast Kentucky Food Harvest is now
collecting food for the first annual boxcar bounty and they need our
help. Southeast Kentucky Harvest is teaming up with KD Country, T-107,
CSX, L&N Credit Union, Aisin Automotive, Baptist Regional Medical Center
and other local businesses, churches, schools and civic organizations to
raise enough food to fill a boxcar. Food raised in the drive will
benefit the Barbourville Christian Life Fellowship Food Pantry.
Southeast Kentucky Harvest is looking for any non perishable foods,
especially those used in a traditional thanksgiving meal. The deadline
is November 20th just in time to get the food to the families in need.
You can drop off your food here at our stations located at 821 Adams
Road or be listening for KD Country and T-107 to be at one of our
participating sponsor locations. You know you hear of people in other
countries starving but the truth is it goes on here in our own
communities, the new age of a homeless person in America is now 9!!!
Lets do all we can to help our local families in need have a great
thanksgiving meal!!!
