A Knox County teenager was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle, Tuesday, on US 25E.
According to Knox County Sheriff John Pickard, an investigation determined that a vehicle, driven by Michael Goodin, of Pineville, was traveling north on US 25E about 6 miles south of Barbourville, when a 14 year old pedestrian ran across the roadway into the path of the vehicle.
The teen was airlifted to the U.T. Medical Center.
Speed is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
Deputy Michael Smith is investigating.
