The promoter for the Kentucky Kids State Fair announced that the event, scheduled to take place in October at theArena at Corbin, has been cancelled due to the new management transition and departure of SMG, the current management company of the Arena.
Phil Smith, promoter for the Kentucky Kids State Fair, said Corbin officials informed him that the new manager and staff will not be in place until October 16 and would not be ready to facilitate and event in the short time frame. The Kentucky Kids State Fair was tentatively scheduled for October 19 through October 23.
Smith said “It is unfortunate that our event would fall within this critical time period, a lot of time and effort has gone into the planning and preparation of the event.” Smith added that he is anticipating a continued relationship with the City of Corbin and the new management team.
