5 Fort Campbell Soldiers Die in 3 Days

     Governor Steve Beshear, Tuesday, recognized the sacrifices of five Fort Campbell soldiers who died in Afghanistan.

     According to the Department of Defense, Pfc. Chad Coleman, age 20, and Pvt. Adam Novak, age 20, died August 27, died of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked their vehicle with an improvised explosive device.

     Spc. James Robinson, age 27, died August 28 when insurgents attacked his unit with indirect fire.

     Capt. Ellery Wallace, age 33, and Pfc. Bryn Raver, age 20, died August 29 of wounds sustained when their military vehicle was struck by rocket propelled grenade.

     The governor will order flags at all state office building be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of each soldiers interment, for which arrangements are pending.
