Kentucky Unemployment Rate Falls Below Ten Percent

     For the first time since February of 2009, Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate fell below 10 percent to 9.9 percent in July, 2010, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training.

     The revised rate in June 2010 was ten percent. The 9.9 percent rate was the lowest unemployment rate recorded since February 2009, when the rate was 9.6 percent.

     According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate remained at 9.5 percent from June 2010 to July 2010.
