Kentucky to Participate in $75.3 Million Settlement with Johnson and Johnson Subsidiary

     Attorney General Jack Conway announced that Kentucky will participate in a $75.3 million settlement with Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a subsidiary of global pharmaceutical manufacturer Johnson & Johnson over allegations that the company illegally and improperly marketed the anti-seizure drug Topomax. Kentucky Ranked 40th in “Kids Count”

     Kentucky ranks 40th in the nation in over-all child well-being, according to the national 2010 “Kids Count Data Book”, released by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The annual publication uses available data to measure the educational, social, economic, and physical well-being of children in each state. (more…)
