Somerset Man Arrested Following Pursuit

     An attempted traffic stop for a common traffic violation resulted in the arrest of a Somerset man on serious charges.

     Pulaski County Sheriff Todd Wood said Deputy Steve Molen attempted to stop a pick-up on Ringgold Road after observing the vehicle drop-off the shoulder of the roadway. The driver, in an alleged attempt to flee, accelerated to a high speed, passing vehicles before stopping on Citation Drive.

     Reportedly, 28-year-old Tyler Wade told police he fled because he did not have insurance and was trying to get home.

     Wade was taken into custody, charge with fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, failure to maintain insurance and other traffic offenses and was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
