A five-week-old infant was found in the presence of a methamphetamine lab in Laurel County.
Laurel County Sheriff Fred Yaden said deputies, Thursday, accompanied probation and parole officers to a residence on Ray Johnson Road.
Once there, officers discovered an active meth lab in the bathroom of the home, and also found finished methamphetamine in baggies.
Angela Buehler, Allen Huffman and their five-week-old baby was at the residence at the time of the discovery.
Division of Public Safety personnel responded to the location to clean-up the lab.
The newborn was taken into custody by social services and taken to Saint Joseph London for treatment of being exposed to the lab.
Buehler and Huffman were arrested, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and wanton endangerment. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Jail.
The investigation is continuing by the sheriff’s department.
