Williamsburg Police Find Active Meth Lab

     A Williamsburg man is facing methamphetamine charges.

     Williamsburg Police Public Affairs Officer Shawn Jackson said officers, Thursday, accompanied probation and parole officers on a home visit of a Williamsburg man who was serving out part of a 13 year sentence for several charges, including manufacturing meth and fleeing or evading police.

     According to Officer Jackson, Joseph Rains, who was described as very cooperative, told the officers that he had methamphetamine in baggies and containers and that he also had an active meth lab in an out building on the property.

     Officers found a one-step methamphetamine lab.

     Rains, age 32, of Liberty School Road, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and a parole violation and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
