A Bell County man and woman were sentenced, Friday, for the January 2009 murder of a Bell County man.
Joshua Parsons and Lora Amburgey were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to the kidnapping and murder of Paul Slusher. Both were additionally sentenced to a total of 25 years for robbery and tampering with physical evidence.
Slusher’s body was found in the Cumberland River. He had been tied, gagged and dumped off a bridge into the river.
He was 70 years old.
