14 Fort Campbell based soldiers and 1 Kentucky native soldier have died in Afghanistan this month.
Flags at all state office buildings are directed at half-staff until sunset today in honor of Staff Sgt. James Hunter, age 25, who died June 18, in Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He had been assigned at Fort Campbell.
Funeral services for Staff Sgt. Hunter were held today in Winchester, Kentucky.
