Local Conservation Districts , along with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service is accepting applications for conservation programs through April15th.
Landowners may apply for federal assistance through two programs. The Environmental Quality Incentives Program provides cost-share assistance to persons engaged in livestock or agricultural production on eligible land. The Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program provides landusers an opportunity to improve wildlife habitat. All conservation practices are subject to Natural Resource Conservation Service technical standards adapted for local conditions.
Whitley County landowners are also eligible for a local cost share funding opportunity which will be administered in conjunction with the Kentucky Cost Share Program.
