Governor Steve Beshear Tuesday, joined Corbin Mayor Willard McBurney, the Corbin City Commission, Whitley County Judge Executive Pat White Jr, and other state and local officials in the Official Open House of the Arena at the Southeastern Ky Ag and Expo Complex at Corbin.
It is estimated that thousands of poeple attended the event. Laurel County Judge Executive Lawrence Kuhl attended and said he believes that people throughout the area are excited and optimistic that the Arena represents tremendous economic development opportunities for the entire region.
Montgomery Gentry headlines the grand opening event Thursday. Tickets for upcoming events are avavailable at the Arena box office Monday through 10am until 6pm, at ticketmaster.com and at eventsatthearena.com.
